The Dublin Theatre Festival - Europe's oldest specialist theatre festival is about to embark on its 48th year! In 2005 the festival will run from September 30th to October 15th and will present over 250 artists in 150 presentations for audiences of all ages and interests from all over the world. In previous years the Festival has featured Roddy Doyle, Tommy Tiernan, Geoffrey Rush and Pete Postlewaithe. Every year the Dublin Theatre Festival operates a programme known as Ticket Assistance. Ticket Assistance offers discounted tickets (up to 75%) to selected groups and organisations such as Traveller Training Centres to Festival shows that otherwise would not be able to attend without financial help. This is an important part of our commitment to our community to ensure the Festival is accessible to all members of it and these groups include those who have special needs and their carers, disadvantaged children and their support, welfare and women's groups, registered charities, racial equality and refugee associations. The Festival programme will be released in July and at present we are sourcing groups that would be interested in attending shows in the autumn. We will send you a brochure and booking form to distribute amongst your organisation in August and this will outline your options should you wish to take part. Please contact Jessica Hilliard by email Jessica@dublintheatrefestival.com or phone 01 6778439 if you have any queries. |
