What does the Guide contain?
The National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA) ‘A Plain English Guide to Legal Terms’ comprises over 60 pages with over 1,400 words explained. The content was based on a number of highly regarded sources including:

The Guide was commissioned by the NALA and it was produced in conjunction with the Law Society. The legal content of the guide was edited by Patrick O’Connor, B.C.L., LL.B., who was President of the Law Society of Ireland in 1999.

How to get it
The Plain English Guide to Legal Terms is available from NALA at 76 Lower Gardiner St, Dublin 1 for a cost of €7.50 each plus €3.00 postage. You can also order a copy by emailing literacy@nala.ie
