GRADUATE DIPLOMA / M.ED IN ADULT EDUCATION Mary Immaculate College, in association with the University of Limerick,
proposes to offer the Graduate Diploma in Adult Education in Waterford
The course is a part-time programme for graduates who wish to work in the adult and community education sectors and for educational/training personnel currently working in this field. The course will be delivered on a week-end and block release basis. Teaching and learning methods include lectures, tutorials, studio-based teaching, visiting speakers, workshops, study visits, teaching practicum and directed study. Schedule: Campus weeks (block release weeks) are scheduled in the first semester: Applications are invited from graduates who hold a primary degree or
equivalent professional qualification. Application forms are available from the Admissions Office: Additional course information will be forwarded to applicants in May. Students may proceed to the Masters programme having achieved an honours award (minimum 2.1) in the Graduate Diploma and grade B1 (at minimum) in the research project. The Masters programme comprises a research methods module (delivered on campus) and the completion of a dissertation. |
