National Literacy Awareness Week

The Theme is "Literacy and your money" - how low literacy levels
can be a barrier to understanding and accessing financial services
From the 20th to the 26th of September 2004 there will be events
and activities around Ireland.

This week of activity will include:

• a number of events including a national conference 24th September, Institute of Bankers Dublin;
• a range of printed material including a plain English guide to financial terms;
• a media coverage;
• promotional mailings; and
• supported by the Irish Financial Regulatory Authority, Money Advice and Budgeting Service, Institute of Bankers and many other financial organisations.
