Literacy and the Legal & Justice System

Speaking at the event will be:

Matthias Kelly, Q.C., Chairman of the Council of the Bar in England
John Wild of the Plain English Campaign in the U.K.
Dr. Mark Morgan, Head of Education, St. Patrick’s' College, Drumcondra, speaking about the link between literacy, crime and social exclusion.

Conference details:

Date - Saturday September 27th
Venue – The Bar Council, Law Library Building, 145 / 151 Church St, Dublin 7
Time - Starting at 10.00 am and finishes at 1.00 pm

There will be a range of other activities taking place during National Literacy Awareness Week. Of particular interest will be the launch of the "A to Z of Irish Legal Terms in Plain English" price €20.
