FILM MAKER IN RESIDENCE ARTISTS BRIEF Wexford County Council in partnership with St. Michaels Theatre, New Ross and The Arts Council / An Comhairle Ealaíon invite submissions from Film Makers for a Film Maker in Residence initiative which will run throughout 2005. Background In September 2004, St. Michaels Theatre established two film clubs including a Junior Film Club, Chinês Cine-Club. At the time of its inception, all secondary schools in the area were invited to become members of the Film Club and to participate in the programming of films. Given the significantly high level of interest among the members, it has been decided to further develop the club through a Film Maker in Residence Project. It is intended that the successful Film Maker will work with a group of young people aged from 13 18 years on a weekly basis in the facilitation of a Youth Film Project, which will run for approximately a 35-week period.
