In memory of Mary Donovan We lost a lovely woman By Kathleen Delaney My Family. Hello my name is Geraldine Ward. I am fifteen years old and I am working here at St. Colmcille’s Training Centre. I have been working here since January the 17th 2000. I like it very much. The staff are all very nice. It is a great help to learn about things. You could not find no nicer people other than the people that teach and work here. There are fourteen people in my family altogether. My mother’s name is Bridget. My father’s name is David. I have six sisters. Two of them work here at the moment. I also have six brothers. One of them died six months ago. His name was Martin. He died on the ninth of August. It was a Monday. He was working in Kilbeggan in a meat factory. It was his first day at work. It was very sad. I will never forget that day. We were all at home when my brother Tom drove in and he got out of his car. He was crying, so we knew there was something wrong. He then told us the bad news. It was terrible. We could not believe it. My mother was not there. She was down in Galway visiting her brother. We rang her and told her. She could not believe it. She was very upset. She started to cry. It will be a long time before my family gets over this. He was my oldest brother. He is buried in Tuam, County Galway. By Geraldine Ward. TAKE TIME Take time to work
