Skillwords - a NALA publication

The ‘Skillwords’ Resource Pack provides a set of materials to support the integration of literacy into areas of vocational training. It is primarily intended to be used by tutors, trainers and learners working in areas such as woodwork, catering and horticulture.

The materials were designed by vocational trainers and literacy tutors. The worksheets can be photocopied and used depending on the needs of the student. They can also be used as examples for trainers who want to produce additional worksheets to respond to their specific needs. In that sense this is a starter pack and the ringbound format allows for additions so that a trainer can create a bank of material. It is hoped that this pack can be used in any setting where literacy work is taking place.
