- In 2006, 31% of
children lived in families where the mother had a third-level degree
in comparison to 1% of Traveller children and 6% of children lived in
families where the mother had either no formal education or primary
education only in comparison to 59% of Traveller children. Download

- The All Ireland
Traveller Health Study is the first systematic study of Travellers
health in 23 years. The final report of the The All Ireland Traveller
Health Study was published recently and is available to download at

Mary Coughlan TD, has announced plans to improve literacy and numeracy
in schools - sweeping reforms to teacher education courses, increased
time for literacy and numeracy in primary and post-primary schools,
and a significant extension in the use of assessment and testing in

If you would like to pay tribute to someone you have lost through
suicide, contact info@sosadireland.ie. You can email a small photograph
and some information on the special someone you have lost. SOSAD
