Ross Youth Training Centre R.Y.T.C. Policy To provide a safe and holistic learning environment, free from prejudice, that is respectful of cultural difference. Aims To work with the Travelling Community to develop and provide educational
courses that best serve the specific needs of that community and to be
participant led in delivery. Participants are normally from the Travelling Community aged fifteen
and up-wards. Ross Youth Training Centre welcomes both male and female
learners. There is no upper age limit. At present participants age range
is fifteen years to forty-five years. Members of the settled Community
are welcome to participate on courses provided by the centre. Allowances are available to all participants on courses in the centre. Details are available from Centre Director
Work Experience The centre encourages and will actively help participants to avail of work experience as part of their studies. At present participants in the centre are working in childcare facilities as Teachers Assistants others are working in Community Advice Centres.
