STAFF PROFILE

THE V.E.C. EMPLOYS 7 TEACHER; 3 FULL TIME, INCLUDING THE DIRECTOR, 3 ELIGIBLE PART TIME AND 1 PART TIME. THE DIRECTOR MANAGES THE DAY TO DAY OPERATION OF THE CENTRE AND ALSO TEACHES HOME ECONOMICS FOR 18 HOURS PER WEEK.

THE CENTRE CATERS FOR 24 TRAINEES (MALE AND FEMALE) AGED FROM 16 YEARS AND UPWARDS. THE YOUNGER TRAINEES TEND TO COME TO THE CENTRE HAVING COMPLETED ONE YEAR OF SECONDARY SCHOOL, OR AT THE END OF THEIR PRIMARY SCHOOLING. THE OLDER TRAINEES TEND TO HAVE HAD PRIMARY SCHOOLING ONLY, WITH A MINORITY NEVER HAVING HAD ANY FORMAL SCHOOLING.
