| The
Centre can accommodate up to 32 trainees. The aim of the centre is to improve
Travellers' education, vocational training and life skills (in short, a
better life), but always with sensitivity to the Traveller culture and traditions.
Subjects Offered
The Education Programmes in the Centre are accredited by the Further Education and Training Awards Council (FETAC). It is the policy of the Centre to review the Curriculum on a continuing basis in order that the Development of the Trainees will keep in line with current educational trends. The Centre also networks with other Educational, Voluntary and Statutory Organisations in the promotion of the Holistic Educational and Personal Development of Trainees. In addition to its Educational Role the Centre serves, in a voluntary capacity, as a Resource Service to the local travelling community dealing with issues such as Accommodation, Health, Legal etc. Guidance Counselling is also available to trainees. |
