Mission Statement

Working Towards the Future......

Birr Travellers' Training Centre is a place of learning, a place Travellers look forward to coming into, and getting to know new people in a comfortable environment. It is a place where staff and learners work well together.

The Training Centre provides a variety of learning experiences which value the Travellers' way of life.

The centre is open for 35 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 4.30pm, Friday 9.00am to 2.00pm. Our academic year consists of 42 weeks, September to mid July. The course duration is 3 years. Enrolment is by continuous intake. Learners receive a training allowance from the Dept. of Education and Science, and are paid for attending the course.
